St Nicholas Tree Farm

St. Nicholas Tree Farm is the long-time dream of Michael and Elizabeth Walsh. Mike and Liz are a husband-and-wife team that met while serving in the military. They dreamt of one day building a meaningful business that enabled them to strengthen their relationship, family, and community. After the military, they decided to move back to Liz’s hometown of Marion, Indiana to establish their Christmas tree farm business.

They closed on the land in December 2024 and have since worked on transforming this formerly defunct golf course into a beautiful Christmas tree farm. In the future, they hope to host all-season activities and events and offer farm-direct produce and goods.

They chose the name St. Nicholas because they were inspired by the true story of St. Nicholas of Myra, whose generosity helped many children in his town survive, leading to the tradition of leaving your boot or stocking out for St. Nick to leave candy inside. His legendary habit of secret gift-giving gave rise to the folklore of Santa Claus.

With their farm, Mike and Liz hope to honor and share the joy of Christmas, gather the community to create seasonal memories, and cultivate nature through sustainable practices.
