IWU professor named ISCA Exemplary Counselor Educator of the Year
The Indiana School Counselors Association (ISCA) has named Indiana Wesleyan University Professor of Graduate Counseling Dr. Jen Money-Brady the recipient of the 2018 Exemplary Counselor Educator of the Year Award.
The annual award recognizes a teacher or professor that has done an outstanding job at preparing students for the field of school counseling. The recipient is someone who goes above and beyond to enhance students’ learning experiences and make a difference in their futures.
Money-Brady was nominated by one of her IWU students.
“[Receiving this award] is a very humbling experience that I am so grateful to share with IWU,” said Money-Brady. “I feel so blessed to be able to teach counseling every day.”
Money Brady will formally accept the award at the ISCA Fall Conference Awards luncheon on Friday, Nov. 16 at the Marriott East in Indianapolis.
“Jen uses her servant-leader heart to live out the Indiana Wesleyan University mission in the community where she serves as a practitioner with Brooke’s Place for grieving children and as a leader for the ISCA as their past president,” said Dr. Rob Atchison, chair of the Division of Graduate Counseling. “Jen is the model for creating a transformative educational experience.”
