Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), along with Indiana Members Credit Union, announces it is accepting applications for the Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program available to college students that are members of Indiana Members Credit Union.  In 2017, Indiana Members Foundation awarded $25,000 through the Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program and has increased the amount awarded to $50,000 for 2018.  The $50,000 will be dispersed as ten (10) $5,000 collegiate scholarships through the Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program.  Applications will be accepted annually from January 1 through March 31.

The Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program was established to honor Robert E. Martin for his 42 years of dedication and service as a board member of IMCU as well as his commitment to education throughout his career as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at Indiana University Purdue-University at Indianapolis (IUPUI).  Martin currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for IMCU and has held that position since 2006.  The Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship application and instructions can be found online at www.imf4kids.org.

“We are excited to offer the Robert E. Martin Scholarships for a second year,” said Ron Collier, President and CEO of Indiana Members Credit Union.  “We are grateful for the leadership provided by Mr. Martin and his many years of service to Indiana Members Credit Union and are honored to give back to students in our community to help them achieve their educational goals.”

Martin retired from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) after 40 years of service where he served as Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance, a position he held for 13 years.  Previous positions include: Vice Chancellor for Administrative Affairs; Assistant to the University Controller and Director of Administrative Affairs and Bursar. Martin is a huge supporter of Indiana Members Foundation's mission of providing youth with the necessary tools to succeed in education.
