Family Service Society has been operating for almost 100 years changing lives for good through education that makes people healthier, encouragement through evidence-based counseling, and empowerment through shelter, advocacy, and new-found hope in domestic violence prevention programs.

Domestic Violence is real, happens every single day, and likely affects someone you know and love. It is complicated, convoluted, and multi-faceted and for those directly involved, it can be very isolating, frustrating and shameful. Unlike a crime where the victim doesn’t know the offender, domestic violence involves a perpetrator who the victim knows intimately.

Each victim who Hands of Hope works with has a need to rebuild their self-esteem and self-worth. Hands of Hope offers that assistance and meets the victim where they are by – providing a 24-hour helpline, weekly support groups, safe temporary housing, case management, individual therapeutic counseling and outreach advocacy.

These services are critical and require community support. We are grateful for the community support that allows us to continue to intervene and prevent domestic violence and stalking through education, advocacy, and comprehensive strategies.
