The Walkway of Lights Committee has announced they are giving parade float participants a chance to win $200 by signup before the end of July. This year's parade is taking place Downtown, Marion, and later in the year than in years past, on December 7th, 2019 at 7pm. Find the exciting details and Parade Registration Form attached here.

Christmas…… in July you say???? Yes……. In fact, by registering before July 31st, one lucky winner will receive $200 from the Walkway Committee to be used for your float or lights for your walkers. Merry Christmas….. in July!!! However, to ensure winners participate in the parade, prizes will be distributed at the parade.
We have made some GREAT changes for the 2019 Walkway of Lights Christmas Parade this year and we want to let you know!!! First, we have moved the parade to its original location….. Downtown Marion. We will be closing off State Road 18 in both directions for 2 hours to host this event. Also planned for downtown Marion is for local businesses to have Christmas window displays, arts events, vendors, and much more. Details are currently in the making and will be announced throughout the rest of the year. You and your organization will want to be involved for this BIG event! Whether you have been a part of the parade in the past, or new to putting a unit in, we encourage you to get involved…. Early. There will be several recognitions of participants in the parade, and you have the chance to earn bragging rights.
Please find enclosed the entry form for the 2019 Walkway of Lights Christmas Parade. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 7:00PM. The staging area will again be at the Grant County Family YMCA, and North Washington Street Bridge. We will be sending more information concerning the staging area at a later date.
Entry to the parade is FREE, however, we do ask that if you can please provide (1) one volunteer to help with staging and the parade route. We depend on volunteers to make the parade night successful.
In order to keep the flow of the parade going and to reduce gaps, there is no stopping at the stage to perform. You will be introduced but please keep moving and performing as you move.
