Marion Fire Department to Host Junior Firefighter Academy for Middle School Students

The Marion Fire Department is inviting incoming 6th–8th grade students to participate in its Junior Firefighter Academy, a fun, hands-on program designed to introduce young people to the fire service while building confidence, teamwork, and valuable life skills.

The academy will be held:

  • July 27 | 7:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • July 28 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Participants will experience hands-on firefighting activities, training exercises, games, obstacle courses, and team-building activities. All participants will also earn CPR certification during the academy.

Students interested in participating should complete the interest form by Monday, July 13, using the QR code on the event flyer.

The Junior Firefighter Academy offers a unique opportunity for local youth to learn about emergency services, develop practical skills, and have fun alongside members of the Marion Fire Department.
